A short word about design
I spend so long fiddling with pixels, and each time it ends up being me asking myself how much it really matters. Assuming the average human lives 30,000 days, those days spent sitting down repeatedly refreshing my browser can easily add up to 1% of my life. Is the user really going to notice the difference between 20 and 22 font? And after scratching my head for a bit, I conclude probably not. But the thing that I really believe in is that a product is more than the sum of its parts. It's always the small things. Maybe the user won't recognize and appreciate these small choices you spend 3 hours agonizing over. But they'll sure notice its absence. That, my friends, is the cruel irony of life.
